A simple post
Last summer, as I relaxed on the couch with my sunburnt shoulders, dirt under my nails from the garden, my pomegranate lemonade sweating all over the end table, and the fan whirring lazily above me, I couldn’t help but think of all of the things I love about summer time. Now, going into March with 10-foot snow piles on either side of the driveway and negative degree weather, I’m really trying my best to summon summer back into my life. What were those summer favorites I brainstormed then? I’d like to share a few with you today. Whether they’re things to eat, to do, to look at, or even just ideas, I present:
My Summer Loves
Avocados, asparagus, aloe, after-sun lotion, air conditioner
Beachy style, bananas, birthday, bare feet, bullet journal
Cuticle oil, coconut oil, charcoal teeth whitener, campfires, cucumbers, corn on the cob, church meetings
Dogs, dragon fruit
Eggs, exercise, early mornings
Fitkicks, Fitbit, fireworks, flowers, farmer’s market, fresh food, fruit, floppy hats
Game night, grilling, garden, grass, green everywhere
Houseplants, homegrown vegetables, hot weather, hoodies at dusk
Ice water, iced coffee, Independence Day
Juice, jump-roping, jalapeño poppers
Kickboxing, kiwis
Lawn-mowing, lemon water, lemonade
Macramé hangers, mangoes, morning routine
No school, nutritious eating

Vines, vegetables, vacation
Watermelon, weeding the garden, wildflowers, workout clothes
Xanthan gum?? [May use this in canning. This item is valid, OKAY??]
Yoga, yogurt [frozen]
Zoo day, zonking out on the couch
And… That’s about it. May summer come STAT.
And may your summer days be as cozy as mine.
Until next time,
